Well, so much for Manley Ti valves!

The day is done. Time to go racing tomorrow after riders meeting.

Clayed the valves and back together it goes.

Wow, 6.2 miles of planed concrete. The possibilities are mind boggling! Test and Tune! ;) Completely void of traffic when we're not working!

Sorry guys I have to vent! On March 14th we ordered 4 Ti valves and 2 sets of springs for my sporty. We were told it would take 6 weeks to deliver. Well, this is July 7th and we still have neither. Oh, we've received 2 packages from Manley. The first one held 4 stainless steel off the shelf valves! WTF. So, more calls to Manley. Well, Friday we received another package from Manley! What did it hold? Well, 4 Ti valves but, no hardened inserts! So, they said use lash caps! If I wanted lash caps I would have gone to Del West! Mind you we sent them samples and right now it looks like the installed height will be .050 taller as well. WTF, I've missed 2 meets so far and the probability of making the third is getting slimmer!
Well, lets move on to sprockets! Ordered 2 sprockets from Chris Products/PBI. Sent them a sample as well. In a phone conversation discussing shipping the sprockets the dimensions of the sprockets came up. This particular wheel has 8 5/16" bolt holes. They drilled 8 3/8" holes. Then had the nerve to ask, can't you use them! WTF is wrong with this industry?
I guess with the small number of suppliers we have to choose from they don't give a f**k! We were also told by Manley the LSR community is not really large enough for them to really get too excited about the customer base! Now, after having not being able to have a Speedweek at Bville for 2 years, the chances are looking better this year. I only hope I'll have valve springs and sprockets in time!
