It is time again for Aqua-Nut Divers annual “Try Scuba in a Pool.” This is a great event for both young and old and especially for anyone interested in knowing what it feels like to breath underwater. All proceeds go to our veterans scuba diving program.
Please pass this post on to friends, family and co-workers to help us fill the event. The event is free for any veteran with a disability rating.

We will be at Riverwalk Park today from 8:30am to 3pm for the big Rotary Club Memorial Day event. Lots of vendors and non-profits that specialize in the veteran community. If you have time stop by to say hello and learn about the different resources available for our veterans or just show your support. Hope to see you there.

Congratulations to Janet and Ryan for completing the advanced class and congratulations to Ian and Charles for completing the open water and adventures course. We had visibility of 35 to 80 feet this weekend and temperatures of 58 to 63 degrees. Lots of Giant Sea Bass, numerous eels and tons of lobster. Great weekend and great job by the students!

I had two milestones in the past two weeks. First, the little trophy (or plaque or cube) I am holding is from Padi. They sent it to me in thanks for 20 years as a professional diver. Second, last week with the veterans rescue class, one of the students in the class was my 1000th scuba certification.
