Weekend Race Recap

Now that we are home, unpacked and relaxing we can finally get to the recap. Lots of highs and lows this weekend!
Let's start with Carson:
He qualified 13th in 13.5 sprint and 2nd in 17.5 sprint.
13.5 he had to start from a C main and drive his butt off but missed the transfer spot by 1 position. Not too bad for only driving this car for the 3rd time and qualifying in top 15 with such a high caliber of talent that showed up!

17.5 he started 2nd in the main. Had a rough start but ended up passing the leader with only 30 seconds left in the race. Unfortunately he got taken out by 2nd place with about 10 seconds left and because so many other cars were all on the lead lap he ended up finishing 5th overall. Needless to say he was bummed. That race was his but he handled himself like a champ and is eager for his next weekend of racing to redeem himself.

BUT he did win Best Looking Car Overall! Came home with a t-shirt and a free entry to the big Nationals race in August and already counting down the days!

Aaron had some better luck.
TQ'd in 13.5 truck and had a great 3 way race for the lead. Him and 3rd place were battling it out with seconds left and he ended up coming in 2nd place.

In 17.5 sprint he maintained the 5th position pretty much the whole race but with Carson's wreck at the end he slid by and finished a solid 3rd place.

We had a great weekend at Rain-Man's Hobby and Raceway. If you've never been we highly recommend. That place is top notch for sure and we can't wait to go back!

It's race day at Rain-Man's Hobby and Raceway! Carson started off the morning with a win on his belt already... He won Best Looking Car!! 🤩

Somebody is a happy camper today. 2 new B7's were delivered so Carson and Dad can start running the Delta RC Carpet Offroad Racing series. Looking forward to having some more fun watching these guys run something new. You can't tell by the pic he's excited can you? And you can bet this guy will be running his batteries while he's whooping on all those old guys! Time for some fun!
