Last night, we cheered a little louder and smiled a little prouder!
Congratulations to FOUR of our incredible cheerleader-student athletes who walked the stage at Bakersfield College’s 111th Commencement Ceremony!

From long practices to late-night study sessions, they’ve balanced it all with grace, grit, and heart. We are beyond proud to have been a part of their journey—and we can’t wait to see what’s next for each of them.

📣WHY WE CHEER WEDNESDAY📣
This week we highlight Jazmin and why she loves to cheer at BC! Jazmin states “I love BC cheer because it has made me fall in love with cheer all over again. I love practicing and being with the other girls and guys and on team! Being able to continue to do what I love and so much more is such a blessing. I have gotten closer with the community and strong in my skills with this team and cannot wait to see what’s in store for us next.”

📣WHY WE CHEER WEDNESDAY📣
This week we highlight Jurnee and why she loves to cheer at BC! Jurnee states “I love to cheer at BC because we have fun ways to show our school spirit and support all of our teams! It is also a great opportunity to make great friends and build a sense of community! I have also got to learn more routines and skills that i didn’t get the chance to learn in high school! It is overall a great experience that I highly enjoy and recommend!” 🔴⚔️

This week we highlight Jackie and why she loves to cheer! Jackie states “I love to cheer at BC because I have been able to stay connected to the sport that I love & advance in stunting skills! As a BC cheerleader giving back to the community I grew up in through the events we attend is extremely rewarding. Lastly, I cherish the friendships I have made along the way through BC Cheer!!” 🔴⚔️

📣WHY WE CHEER WEDNESDAY📣
This week we highlight Ramsey and why she loves to cheer at BC! Ramsey states “I love to cheer at BC because it gives me an opportunity to be involved in the community! I love that as BC cheerleaders we are involved not only on campus, but outside of it as well. I have also made friendships along the way as a BC cheerleader that I wouldn’t trade for the world."

We had an incredible time in our team-specific yoga session with ,fellow Bakersfield College Cheer alum! She designed a flow just for us, focusing on balance, strength, and flexibility—key elements for cheer. It was great to challenge ourselves with new moves and push our limits in a different way.

Huge thank you to our friend and fellow cheer alum guiding us through such a fun and beneficial yoga practice! You are inspiration, and in typical BC Cheerleader fashion, doing it all, while being a leader! We highly recommend giving her a follow and joining one of her exclusive classes. You won’t regret it! 💙❤️

What a jam packed month February has been! From themed practices to events with . We love it all, we look forward to every game we cheer at, every community/public appearance and working with our dreamers. ⚔️❤️ 🔴⚔️
