I may just have to steal this idea!
I am laughing so hard at this! šš I bought this little bathtub from Michaels, filled it with dirt, and gave my girls their very own dust bath setup. They are loving it like itās a luxury chicken spa, and it is the funniest thing to watch! šš

How cool is this? Hummingbirds buzz by my front porch multiple times a day! I think it is one of the most magical things for kids to witness!

This is where the magic happens: where kids unplug, connect with nature and each other!
Beautiful sunset last night. You can see the coop and the start of zip line connected to playgroundā¦.

This looks like so much fun!
If your little ones are anything like mine when they were younger, they love all things ice! These little ice boats were made by pouring water in a muffin tin, wrapping it in aluminum foil and poking sticks through, then once frozen you remove the ice boats and add a leaf. Kids will love making them slip and slide on an outside table or float in a container of water. How long will it take them to melt in cold water? What about hot water? It makes for a fun and educational activity! š

I have a special place in my heart for neurodivergent children ā the kids with incredible minds, boundless energy, deep emotions, and the kind of creativity that can light up an entire room. Their differences are often their superpowers. They see the world through a lens that is imaginative, curious, fearless, and beautifully unique.
At the same time, I know the journey is not always easy for families working tirelessly to give everything they have to help their child feel seen, supported, and celebrated. Those families deserve encouragement, community, and compassion.
That is one of the reasons I am dedicating a day of Kids Unplugged to neurodivergent children and their families ā to create a space where kids can simply be themselves, where their strengths are recognized, and where parents feel welcomed instead of judged.
SATURDAY JUNE 13 10 AM-12 PM
I am requiring preregistration for this day so I can keep the number smallish to prevent overstimulation. See link in the comments.
My daughter Natalie, who has been diagnosed with what doctors call āsevere ADHD,ā is one of the biggest reasons this is so close to my heart. While ADHD can bring challenges, Natalie also shines in the most incredible ways. She has become my assistant at Kids Unplugged programming, and she brings joy, energy, empathy, and connection everywhere she goes. Watching her thrive reminds me every day that neurodivergent children are not limited by their diagnoses ā they are filled with gifts the world desperately needs.
