Bought a Giant Stance E1 for me and a Liv Ebike for my wife. Bikes were put together perfect, fully explained all the features and adjusted/tuned the bikes for our weight/height, etc. Gave us maps of places to ride and the one of the best retail experiences I have ever had.

Just wanted to give a shout out to Mark and his crew at Ballwin Cycles. As usual the experience going in there is always great. Had to get some work done to my bike and they took the time to answer questions and offer options. The place was JUMPING when was in there and everyone was being taken care of and offered great service. Of course the refreshments in there to do not either....

Just FYI, they have some bikes in stock right now. Not a lot, but decent selection of stuff. So if you are in the need of an upgrade I would get up there.

Salem (Oregon) Bicycle Club Monster Cookie April 28, 2019

The Monster Cookie Metric Century Bicycle Ride is the Salem Bicycle Club’s premier spring event and Oregon’s first bike event to start the cycling season. This will be the 43rd year of the ride. Both the Oregonian and OR Bike have ranked the Monster Cookie as the 3rd best supported ride in Oregon.
The ride starts at the State Capitol Mall Park in Salem and takes riders over the scenic backroads to historic Champoeg State Park and back to Salem passing Willamette Mission State Park. The route includes parts of the Willamette Valley Scenic Bikeway and the proposed Salem bike boulevard neighborhoods.
There is an optional short route to the first rest stop and back to the Capitol Mall of 34 miles.
As always there will be tons of locally baked cookies and other fresh food items. You will have views of Willamette Valley farmlands, vineyards and Mount Hood in the distance. Your reward at the end is a Monster Cookie!
This is a recreational ride and is open to all bicyclists who agree to Share the Road with other users by riding safely, lawfully, and courteously. Each participant must wear a helmet that meets CPSC requirements. Registration opens at 8 am. There is no mass start. Once you have picked up your packet you can start the Monster Cookie.
To Pre-register for the ride at $30, go to the www.salembicycleclub.org; Salem Bicycle Club's website, mail-in registration forms applications will be available at local Salem-Keizer bike shops. There will be day of ride registration at $40
