Coppermine SC Girls 2009 Blue

Girls are 1-0-1 after 2 games. Tomorrow’s result will decide if they head to the championship game.

The girls traveled to the Loudoun College Coaches Showcase. Friday was a tough game as we lost a center back in the first half. Girls managed to regroup but lost 1-0. Second game was another loss as we tried to fill the holes from the day before. On Sunday the girls settled in and played some of their best soccer winning 3-0. Special thanks to an “OG” for joining this weekend. The team heads into league play next weekend.

We are headed to the Loudoun Soccer College Showcase for 3 games.
1) Friday 2/27 at 6:30pm ... Broad Run High School Stadium in Ashburn, VA
2) Saturday 2/28 at 11:00am ... Riverside High School turf #2 in Leesburg, VA
3) Sunday 3/1 at 11:00am ... Heritage High School Stadium in Leesburg, VA

Another Secret Santa is in the books. A great night with such a fun group of girls.

Baltimore Showcase didn’t disappoint on the cold. Friday was very cold and today’s game wasn’t bad but tomorrow’s game was canceled with the pending weather. Missing a few pieces the girls still played well and showed signs of what is to come when the whole team is back up and running. .

The girls will be bundling up for this weekend's showcase. A big shoutout to the college coaches who have reached out and are still planning on attending our games. All 3 games will be at CopperPlex on Friday kickoff 5:30pm field #7, Saturday kickoff Noon field #1 and Sunday kickoff 4:00pm field #7.

The headbands cause you to get your head up and truly find your teammates.

A successful Bethesda Cup going 1-1-1 with 2 shutouts after only 3 training sessions. The team is very stong defensively with a dominate and physical back line. The offense had glimpses of breaking out and with a few more training sessions, this team could be very dangerous. Next up the Baltimore Showcase in December.

All was quiet when we showed up for the first games of the day.

The team is headed to the Maryland SoccerPlex for the Bethesda Premier Cup this weekend. Three games ... Friday at 10:30am Field #10, Saturday at 10:00am Field #19 and Sunday at 2:15pm Field #13.
