Welcome to the official page of The Huntley Cup!
The Huntley Cup has been created to celebrate the tremendous impact Coach Dave Huntley had on the sport of lacrosse. Coach Huntley was a living legend, and now he is remembered as an icon in the history of the game.
Like Coach Huntley, this event is special in that it pushes the sport of lacrosse to new frontiers. Coach was champion field player and coach. He was also a champion box player and coach. Coach Huntley was passionate about the international game and its future inclusion in the Olympics. He was passionate about the sport of lacrosse at every level and anywhere it was played. He was born in Canada and he coached and managed team Canada to decades of gold medals, championships, and success. He was a player’s coach. Coach Huntley lived in the US, won 3 Championships at Johns Hopkins, coached professional teams, collegiate teams, high school teams, and youth teams all over North America. He won at every level he competed and touched the lives of thousands of men and women around the world. He was a visionary, a man who never stopped in his pursuits, and always wanted to leave the world better than he found it. There was no one like him. In his honor, together, we are creating an event like none other, “The Huntley Cup.”
