Don’t worry, the Little Free Library is still at there, just relocated to the other side of the park!
The splash pad is back working thanks to one of our amazing park volunteers! Thank you, Steve!
Fountain update: Currently, the splash pad is not working and in the process of repairs. We are waiting on a new part, and once that is in we'll hopefully have it fixed and back up and running. Stay tuned to this space for updates!

It’s going to be a hot one in Baltimore tomorrow, and we’ve turned on the splash pad just in time to help keep your little ones cool for the summer season. Enjoy!
For visitors to our park, the main gate on Calvert Street is currently locked. However, the side gate in Madison Street is open, and you can enter the park that way while we fix the Calvert Street gate lock.

The stage has been set for plants at the Mt. Vernon Children’s Park! We have completed our prep work and will be finishing our expanded tree well project this Saturday, September 24, at 1pm.
We are looking for volunteers to help out. You can let us know here if you are interested in participating in the planting, or, simply show up at our park at 1pm on 9/24 at 801 N. Calvert St. and join in!
A few important reminders for visitors to the Mt. Vernon Children's Park this summer:
-While using the splash pad, we ask parents and guardians to remind children not to bring sand over to the fountains. The sand can clog up the sprayers and cause damage in the long term that can break the system.
-If you are new to the park and don't know how to trigger the fountain, all you have to do is to touch black center of the flower sensor on the splash pad (see video below for a demonstration). The splash pad cycle will being and run for a few minutes before shutting off. To get the fountain to start again, simply touch the sensor once more.
Thanks!

Our Little Free Library received a new donation from a local author! Check it out at our park! And we’re always looking for new book donations!
With cool weather seemingly here to stay, we have shut off the splash pad for the season. Hope you enjoyed the summer water fun! Until next year!
