Your Name & Pronouns?
Brent Sweigert, He/Him
So, what got you into running and how long have you been part of the Baltimore Frontrunners?
My proudest moment so far has been participating in the Coastal Delaware Running Festival that took place earlier this year in April 2026. I just wanted to see what I was capable of. I knew I was not at a training level yet where even a half marathon was going to be feasible, but I wanted to do more than a 5K race too. I had never ran a 9K before, but it seemed like a good fit. I knew that was the one. I started to get my butt in gear towards the end of March, bought a pair of running shoes, and to my surprise, I placed 2nd of 12 in the Male 25-29 category!
What’s your proudest running moment; a race, a milestone, a personal breakthrough?
I try to listen to a lot more upbeat songs that keep me in a steady rhythm. When I am running up large hills, I sometimes even hype myself up, saying under my breath, “Come on Brent, you can do this!” Knowing that my partner is always at the end of my runs, whether it be practice or a race, makes it all worth it.
What powers you through those runs — who’s on your playlist? Or do you prefer the headphone-free life?

Tell us a little more about yourself, what’s keeping you busy or excited outside of running right now?
By day, I work as a school psychologist for the public school system. This will be my fourth year into it now, and I look forward to only further bettering my career. Between work and running, I like to unwind by either gaming or going on hikes.
And finally, would you share one fun fact that folx might not know about you?
I like to build with Lego. The designs that are out there these days are just so intricate and cool to me. Some of my favorite sets are those that take on an art form. One of the more recent builds I put together was Van Gogh’s Sunflowers
