4700 Roland Ave at Oakdale Rd. (Use Oakdale entrance)
Mixed Level 9-10:30 am
Some prior yoga experience is recommended
Expect a thoughtfully sequenced class taught with clear alignment cues to guide, support, deepen, and sustain your practice. We’ll begin with a brief centering story: a gem of yoga philosophy offered through myth, poetry, and/or reflection that is both ancient and contemporary. We’ll start with Pranayama (breath work), and end with everyone’s favorite posture, Savasana (deep relaxation). Gain clarity of mind and increase strength and mobility while deepening your experience of being a fully embodied human in the world, moment-to-moment, and breath-by-breath!
Modifications will be offered for those who need a more gentle practice, and variations will be provided for those seeking a more vigorous practice.
Please bring your own yoga mat and any props that you like to use (blocks, strap, blanket). Some props will be available in limited supply. Masks are optional; however, please keep in mind that there are always vulnerable members of the community and act accordingly. Wear clothes you can easily move in and your magnificent bare feet.
