Baraboo V Thunderbirds Beat Sauk Prairie Varsity Eagles

Baraboo V Thunderbirds beat Sauk Prairie Varsity Eagles 4-2 on Wednesday.

Baraboo V Thunderbirds jumped out to the lead in the top of the fifth inning after Owen Rogers doubled, scoring two runs, and Peyton Poker singled, scoring one run.

Rogers earned the win for Baraboo V Thunderbirds. The pitcher gave up three hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out four and walking four. Sam Patterson opened the game for Sauk Prairie Varsity Eagles. The starting pitcher surrendered three hits and four runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out nine and walking seven. Brady Bauer collected the save. Cyrus Mahoney appeared in relief for Baraboo V Thunderbirds.

Bauer, Poker, and Rogers each collected one hit for Baraboo V Thunderbirds. Rogers led Baraboo V Thunderbirds with two runs batted in. The pitcher went 1-for-4 on the day. Baraboo V Thunderbirds had patience at the plate, piling up seven walks for the game. Mahoney and Adam Schlender led the team with two walks each. Baraboo V Thunderbirds turned one double play in the game.

Patterson and Marty Hanna were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Sauk Prairie Varsity Eagles. Patterson, Chris VonHaden, Parker Frosch, and Cayden Hermsdorf each collected one hit for Sauk Prairie Varsity Eagles. Bo Breunig led Sauk Prairie Varsity Eagles with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up eight walks for the game. Sauk Prairie Varsity Eagles turned one double play in the game.

Baraboo V Thunderbirds Breeze Past Richland Center Varsity Hornets

Baraboo V Thunderbirds won big over Richland Center Varsity Hornets 10-0 on Tuesday at Mary Rountree Evans Park.

Baraboo V Thunderbirds got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Owen Rogers singled down the left field line, Peyton Poker singled to center field, Brody Bjorklund doubled to center field, Cyrus Mahoney doubled down the left field line, and Carson Steiner singled down the right field line, each scoring one run.

Baraboo V Thunderbirds added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Brady Bauer doubled down the right field line, and Gabe Carney singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.

Bjorklund earned the win for Baraboo V Thunderbirds. The hurler allowed two hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out two and walking one. Wyatt Banker stepped on the hill first for Richland Center Varsity Hornets. The starter allowed seven hits and seven runs (five earned) over two and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking one.

Baraboo V Thunderbirds accumulated 11 hits in the game. Bjorklund, Rogers, Mahoney, and Steiner each collected two hits for Baraboo V Thunderbirds. Poker, Rogers, and Mahoney each drove in two runs for Baraboo V Thunderbirds. Ethan Huelsemann stole two bases. Baraboo V Thunderbirds stole five bases in the game. Baraboo V Thunderbirds turned two double plays in the game. Baraboo V Thunderbirds didn't commit a single error in the field. Bauer had the most chances in the field with eight.

Brady Dosch and Owen Mueller each collected one hit for Richland Center Varsity Hornets.
