JYMS 7th/8th Grade Football

Sharing pictures of the 4th and final day of the JYMS Football Camp for 7th/8th Grade. It was a very special day where we were able to let the student-athletes showcase their football skills of throwing, catching, running and jumping along with showing them how to be able to run some of our offensive and defensive schemes for the season! On top of that, we were also able to join the program wide cookout and celebration hosted by Baraboo Youth Football that combined all 3 levels of our Thunderbird Football Program. What a special opportunity it was to get the players and coaches from all levels together in one spot! We were able to build as strong foundation for the 2026 JYMS Football season with this week of camp! Thank you to all of our coaches, players, parents and families that we able to allow us to make the week successful for our program!

Day 3 of 7th/8th Grade JYMS Football Camp in the books and it was awesome! Athletes and coaches put in great work at getting better on offense - throwing and catching, running routes and blocking, working through our run play schemes and showcasing their skills in a fast paced battle of Baraboo Ball. At the end we capped off camp with a field goal kicking contest that ended in a tie between the two grade levels. Coaches even got into the contest to show their kicking skills! Great football weather and great people all around made for a fantastic day on the field!!

Schedule update for Thursday's practice - the last day of camp. We will start at 5:00 pm as usual. At 6:00 pm, the middle school athletes and coaches will join the Youth and High School teams at the cookout being hosted at the brown shed on the high school practice field. Families are invited to join the cookout as well at 6:00 pm. We are going to take a program wide picture with all athletes and coaches from Youth, Middle School and High School. Coaches will be staying until our normally scheduled end time of 7:00 pm, but parents are free to take their athletes home after the group picture and meal.

We had a great first day of JYMS Football Camp for 7th/8th Grade!! Thank you to our families, players and coaches for coming out and putting forth an awesome session! Excited for Day 2 today!

Players should meet coaches at the JYMS Football Field behind the middle school at 5:00 pm for a defensive emphasis day! Camp will conclude at 7:00 pm tonight!

7th/8th Grade JYMS Football Camp Week is upon us! Still time to register as well! Athletes should plan on meeting at 4:00 pm in the JYMS Commons entering via the lower lot doors to check-in with coaches and learn about how to get logged into our Hudl Film system that we will be using this fall. We will also be going through various scheme basics on the offensive and defensive side of the ball for this season. Looking forward to seeing all of our student athletes!

Monday's camp begins at 4:00 pm and ends at 7:00 pm.

Tuesday through Thursday, athletes will meet on the JYMS Field behind the middle school with camp sessions running from 5:00 - 7:00 pm.

Student-athletes should bring with them shorts, t-shirts, cleats and a water bottle.
