Most 5Ks don’t have cupcake stations.

This one does.

The 2026 Cupcake Chase 5K is coming to Valley Park in Hurricane on Saturday, August 29 at 8:00 AM.

Run the 5K, stop along the course to decorate a cupcake if you want, compete for awards, show off your best cupcake-inspired race gear, and enjoy a cupcake at the finish.

Best of all, proceeds benefit Backpack Buddies.

Due to the lightning in the area this evening, we had to make the difficult decision to postpone tonight's race. We know this wasn't the evening anyone planned, and we appreciate everyone's patience and understanding. Safety had to come first.

The race has been rescheduled for Saturday morning, with the race starting at 8:30 AM.

A few important reminders:

Packet pickup and registration will reopen at 7:00 AM.
The race location and course remain the same.
If you picked up your bib tonight, please bring that same bib with you tomorrow morning. It is still active and ready to use.
If you misplaced your bib, stop by registration when you arrive and we'll get you taken care of.
If you were unable to pick up your packet tonight, you can do so beginning at 7:00 AM tomorrow.
