Full Nelson Youth Football

Dear Families,

We’re excited to kick off our Spring Flag Football season and want to clarify an important point: our league is not affiliated or the same as the NFL Flag league currently being advertised.

Our league is school-based, but we gladly welcome children whose schools may not currently offer a spring flag football program. This season, we will compete with teams from Bardstown, Washington County, and potentially Marion County.

Here’s what you need to know:

- Games and Practices: Held on Fridays, making it easy to balance with other activities.
- K-2 Grade: Teams will be coed.
- 3rd-8th Grade: Teams will be gender-based.
- Collaboration with Parks & Rec: We’ve partnered with local parks and recreation to minimize conflicts with other spring sports.
- Growing Participation: Over 200 kids are already signed up—don’t miss out!

Nelson County Athletics is partnering with Darkside Athletics to offer a 4 week speed and agility camp for ANY kid, regardless of school, who will be in 5th-9th grade in the 2024/25 school year. If you want to be the best you have to train with the best! Kerry Overfelt and Chris Sanders will be conducting this camp on the campus of Nelson County High School. Kerry and Chris are the BEST in the business. They train athletes across all sports from middle school to division 1 power five colleges.
