Next up in our Meet the Teachers series is the lovely Miss Justina! 💛

With nearly 25 years of dance experience, Miss Justina brings her love of movement, music, and creativity into everything she does. Outside of Empowered Movement, she works as a music teacher in East Providence and serves as a Creative Director for a local nonprofit theatre — so it’s safe to say creativity is a BIG part of who she is! 🎶✨

Miss Justina has a way of making everyone feel welcome, whether you’re brand new to dance or have been dancing for years. Her classes are full of energy, encouragement, and choreography that will have you smiling from start to finish!

We’re so lucky to have her sharing her passion with our dancers, there’s always a little extra fun and sparkle when Miss Justina is in the room! 💃🕺

You can find Miss Justina teaching both youth and adult classes this season. We know you’re going to love dancing with her! 💛

𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐦𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬 𝐄𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧! 💜✨

Emerson has been part of the Empowered Movement family since she was just 2 years old, and it has been so special watching her grow into the dancer and little person she is today!

She loves jazz, acro, and of course, playing! She especially enjoys getting to spend time with her friends at the studio and always brings such a sweet presence into class. Emerson is a wonderful listener, kind-hearted, and always ready to jump in and give things a try. 🥰

It’s been such a joy to watch her confidence and personality shine through over the years. We’re so lucky to have had her dancing with us for so long, and we can’t wait to see where her dancing takes her next!

Next up in our Meet the Teachers series is the wonderful Miss Sara! 💛

Miss Sara is proof that it’s never too late to discover a love for dance! She first stepped into a dance studio at 16 and quickly found a passion that led her to minor in dance at Salve Regina University, with a special focus on tap.

Her own journey eventually brought her to Empowered Movement, where she started as an adult tap student before becoming part of our teaching family. This season, you’ll find her teaching our youngest dancers on Saturdays — and we couldn’t be more excited! 🥰

Miss Sara brings so much warmth, patience, and joy into her classes. She has a natural way of connecting with our littlest dancers, creating a space where they can feel comfortable, curious, and excited to move💃

Outside of the studio, Miss Sara loves dancing with her daughter and has a passion for her work as a 1:1 teacher. She’s found a special sense of community at Empowered Movement, and we’re so lucky to have her sharing that same nurturing spirit with our dancers!

We’re excited to introduce the amazing teachers who help make Empowered Movement such a special place — and first up is Ms. Carrie! 💛

With 25 years of dance experience, Ms. Carrie brings a love for movement, theatre, and storytelling into every class she teaches.

Her classes are filled with creativity, structure, and plenty of opportunities for dancers to express themselves while building confidence and technique.🩰

From her compassionate and colorful personality to her incredible attention to detail (and it's true…the best accessories around 😉), dancers are sure to have a wonderful time learning and growing with Ms. Carrie!

Join us for a special FREE concert featuring some of our Barrington Rock-a-Baby teachers! This is an opportunity for us to meet you at our newest class location, Empowered Movement, a fun dance studio and play space in the heart of Barrington! We'll perform outdoors if the weather cooperates.
