Wednesday, October 28 — Finding Your College Fit
Blueprint: TARGET
YOUR DREAM SCHOOL LIST ISN’T A RECRUITING PLAN!
Why Every Athlete Needs Stretch, Target and Foundation Schools
Explain why athletes shouldn’t build their college lists entirely around well-known Division I programs. Introduce the three recruiting tiers, how to evaluate academic and athletic fit, and why a realistic, manageable list produces a better outreach strategy.
Key takeaway: The goal isn’t to contact the most colleges. It’s to identify schools where the athlete would genuinely want to attend and has a realistic opportunity to compete.
Read Building and Prioritizing a Target List, which explains how to evaluate and organize schools into recruiting tiers.

Hi there! I’m Coach Nelly. 😁
I am a California grown player and recently completed my collegiate career at the University of Mary where I played shortstop/centerfield and was a consistent top slugger in the box. I graduated with my bachelors in Exercise Science and obtained my Exercise Physiologist Certification this past summer. Now, I am looking to offer my softball experience and exercise science knowledge to athletes who want to improve their skill set and become a tougher competitor. I am offering hitting and fielding lessons at Over the Top on Bach Buxton Rd, Batavia, OH. Feel free to reach out with any questions about me, availability, and what I have to offer to improve your softball performance in the Cincinnati area! 💪🏼🥎

🥎 Before she believed she could, Dad was already saying, “You’ve got this.”

He was there for the first game of catch, the extra swings, and the ride home when nothing seemed to go right. Celebrating the little victories. Reminding her that one tough game doesn’t define her.

Sometimes, the biggest gift a softball dad gives his daughter is the confidence to try again—knowing someone believes in her every step of the way. 💛

Here’s to the dads who keep showing up. Those moments mean more than you know.

At Fastpitch Masters, we’re proud to help athletes build on that encouragement through skill development and instruction from current college softball coaches.

Help her take her next step. Find a camp near you!
