Stallion Wednesday features one of my favorite S-line stallions by Sultan, Santa Cruz (Sultan x Bergfee/Blickfang), who just won the French Championships in dressage with a score of 73.5%! He is now preparing for the European championships with his owner. (I've misplaced the name of his owner and breeder, so if someone could send me that in a PM or mention it here I will add it and update the post. I think Morgan Egd is his owner, and Haflingerhof Karlsbad is his breeder.)

In honor of Dressage at Devon week Haflinger history Tuesday celebrates some of the Haflinger geldings that have shown at Dressage at Devon in the IBC, DSHB open classes and under saddle, featuring Always Alert GVS, Afghan NTF, Allegiance of Dreamfield, Andrit NTF, St Paul and Nordica TOF. Not pictured are two other gelding shown the first year Haflingers were represented at Devon in 1999, Stormy owned by Dr Mary Ann Ost and Applause owned by Tudor Oaks Farm. Mare Monday features the lovely Thalisia (Avalon x Tatienne— 2016 State Champion), owned by Manfred Lientschnig, who recently won the 2026 ARGE Haflinger National Championship with amazing scores! This amazing mare has won other honors as well, receiving fantastic marks for her movement at liberty and under saddle. (She is in foal in the under saddle pictures posted.)

Thalisia was "National Champion in the 3-year-old riding horse class with a record score of 8.9 points!

Thalisia (by Avalon) continues to amaze us time and again. At the 2026 ARGE Haflinger National Championship, she not only left us speechless but also brought tears of joy to our eyes. 💕
She secured victory in the 3-year-old riding horse class with a sensational score of 8.9 points.

Janine Silvia Grafenauer showcased our mare to perfection. Thalisia impressed with a stunning trot and powerful thrust from the hindquarters, as well as a well-balanced canter with a strong uphill tendency—earning a score of 9.0. She also received a 9.0 for both conformation and rideability.

✨ Four scores of 9.0 and an 8.5 for the walk—resulting in that sensational total score of 8.9 points!

We are incredibly proud and overjoyed to have such a magnificent mare in our stable."

Stallion Wednesday features the very talented and gorgeous four-year-old stallion approved in Europe, William (Wales x Felidae/ ), owned by Ange Miller/Golden Plains Haflingers in Victoria, Australia, bred by A. Rehberger, and trained by Taylah Lee. William was imported from Europe to Australia in 2025, and is looking very impressive under saddle! He prepared and approved as breeding a stallion by Stal Beauvoorde, Gino Verplancke, and Charlotte Michiels in Belgium.
