Day 3 & 4 of our EBRPSS Internship Program

We have officially started our Broadcast and Production Training through the USAEL pathway modules, and then we took that learning straight into hands-on work.

Students began building a small mock production kit using Logitech Mevos, Blue microphones, Elgato external capture devices, and other tools as we get ready for test streaming.

We also started refreshing gaming PCs for McKinley High. Students are installing a lighter version of Windows to help improve performance, removing extra HDDs where the OS was installed incorrectly, and reconfiguring the machines to run from the NVMe drives.

Along the way, they also got a look at Azure/Entra and how systems are connected, removed, re-added, protected, and configured.

Broadcasting, production, cyber, PC repair, device management, and leadership — all in just a few days.

Day 2 of EBRPSS Student internship down.

Today our student interns got hands-on with the tech behind e-sports.

We covered computer components and how each part works together, walked through a fresh Windows installation, explored capture cards and OBS, and talked through basic networking.

That last part is big. E-sports does not happen without strong infrastructure. From fiber to ethernet, from bandwidth to preventing bottlenecks, students are learning that what happens behind the scenes is just as important as what happens on the screen.

First day of our EBRPSS Summer E-sports Internship Program is underway!

Today we are starting with thought-provoking questions to see where our students’ mindset is on day one. We will ask those same questions again on the last day and see how much they have grown.

A lot of fun and learning is ahead. These students will get hands-on experience in leadership, broadcasting, marketing, cyber, management, event operations, and much more.

This is where students don’t just play — they learn how to lead.
