Why is Craniosacral Therapy so good for babies?
Babies experience a tremendous amount during pregnancy, birth, and their first weeks of life. Even a healthy pregnancy and uncomplicated delivery can create tension in a newborn's tiny body.
That tension may show up as:
🍼 Difficulty latching or feeding
😴 Trouble sleeping or settling
💨 Reflux, gas, or digestive discomfort
👐 Head-turning preferences or stiffness
💛 Excessive fussiness or difficulty calming
Because a baby's nervous system is still developing, it is especially responsive to gentle support. Craniosacral Therapy uses a light touch—about the weight of a nickel—to help release tension, calm the nervous system, and allow the body to function more comfortably.
Many parents notice their babies becoming more relaxed, feeding more efficiently, sleeping better, and simply seeming happier and more at ease after treatment.
✨ Sometimes the gentlest therapies create the biggest changes.

Exciting new research is expanding our understanding of the nervous system.
For years, we have known that cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) plays a critical role in protecting the brain and spinal cord, delivering nutrients, and removing waste. Now, new research suggests that CSF flow extends throughout the peripheral nervous system, further connecting and supporting the entire body.
What does this mean?
It reinforces the idea that the nervous system functions as one interconnected whole, not as separate parts. When the flow of cerebrospinal fluid is supported, the body is better able to maintain balance, communication, and overall health.
🌿 This is one of the foundational principles behind Craniosacral Therapy. CST works with the body's natural rhythms and the movement of cerebrospinal fluid to help release restrictions, calm the nervous system, and support the body's innate healing abilities.
As science continues to uncover the remarkable ways our bodies are connected, we're reminded that even subtle changes can have profound effects on health and well-being.

Cerebrospinal fluid flow extends to peripheral nerves further unifying the nervous system
Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) is responsible for maintaining brain homeostasis through nutrient delivery and waste removal for the central nervous system (CNS). Here, we demonstrate extensive CSF flow throughout the peripheral nervous system (PNS) - Our findings suggest that CSF plays a consistent role in maintaining homeostasis throughout the nervous system with implications for CNS and PNS therapy and neural drug delivery.'

What should you expect during a Craniosacral Therapy session?
If you've never experienced CST before, you may be surprised by how gentle it is.
Your session will typically last about an hour. You'll remain fully clothed and lie comfortably on a treatment table, much like a massage table.
Using an extremely light touch, about the weight of a nickel, Myra will gently place her hands on areas such as your head, feet, or sacrum to listen to your body's subtle rhythms and identify areas of tension or restriction.
Many people experience:
💛 Deep relaxation
😴 Falling asleep during treatment
🌿 A sense of calm and release
✨ Warmth, tingling, or gentle pulsations
🧠 Increased body awareness
Every session is unique because every body is unique. The goal is not to force change, but to support your body's natural ability to heal and restore balance.
Whether you're seeking relief from chronic pain, stress, headaches, trauma, or other concerns, CST offers a gentle, non-invasive path toward wellness.

For many children, the world can feel overwhelming. Bright lights, loud noises, certain textures, or even everyday transitions can trigger stress and discomfort when the nervous system is working overtime.
✨ Craniosacral Therapy (CST) gently supports the nervous system, and can help some children move from a state of constant alertness into a state of greater calm and regulation.
Parents often report improvements in:
💛 Sensory processing and tolerance
🧸 Emotional regulation
😌 Ability to relax and self-soothe
👂 Sensitivity to sounds, touch, or other stimuli
🌿 Overall comfort and ease in daily activities
Because CST uses an extremely gentle touch, it is well-suited for children who may be sensitive to other forms of therapy.
Every child is unique, but when the nervous system feels safe and supported, children are often better able to engage with the world around them.
Maybe that child is you?
High sensory processing sensitivity is a distinct biological trait where an individual possesses a highly attuned nervous system that deeply registers and processes environmental and emotional stimuli. Research shows that approximately 20% of children—or 1 in 5–are born with this innate characteristic, often referred to as being a Highly Sensitive Child. This trait is NOT a disorder or a medical condition; rather, it is an evolutionary survival strategy found in over 100 animal species.
A child with high sensory processing perceives subtle changes in their surroundings, such as low noises, slight temperature shifts, or the micro-expressions of people around them. Because their brains process information more thoroughly, they are easily prone to sensory overload, anxiety, and behavioral meltdowns when placed in chaotic, loud or highly critical environments.
However, when raised in an optimal, nurturing and structured environment, these children exhibit what psychologists call the “vantage sensitivity” effect, frequently outperforming their less sensitive peers. A supportive setting acts as a powerful catalyst for their deeply reflective minds, allowing their heightened perception to transform into exceptional strengths.
Because they possess strong neural connectivity in areas related to empathy, consciousness and action planning, they excel at complex problem-solving, creative thinking, and emotional intelligence. In classrooms or social circles that minimize harsh stressors and encourage their natural analytical depth, highly sensitive children regularly achieve superior academic results, demonstrate visionary leadership, and display a mastery of skills that leaves everyone around them behind!

"I have experienced a huge decrease in both the number and intensity of my headaches."
Alyssa has been a patient of Myra's for over 15 months and has seen remarkable improvements in her quality of life.
"Myra is extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. She takes the time to understand my situation and works collaboratively with me. Every session meets me where I am that day while also addressing the underlying issues that brought me to therapy in the first place."
Since beginning Craniosacral Therapy, Alyssa has experienced a significant reduction in headaches, along with noticeable improvements in her tinnitus.
"I have seen several professionals regarding my tinnitus, and Myra has been the only one who has taken the time to truly help me...and actually make improvements."
Beyond the results, Alyssa appreciates the care and attention she receives at every appointment. "Myra has been the most caring and dedicated therapist, always working with me. She genuinely wants to improve her patients' quality of life and approaches care holistically."

shares: “Craniosacral Therapy uses a light, precise touch to listen to the body and support the nervous system. Although the touch is subtle, the effects can be deeply meaningful. By working with the body’s natural rhythms and the interconnected fascial network, Craniosacral Therapy helps create the conditions for the body to settle, rebalance, and restore itself.
People come to Craniosacral Therapy for many reasons — stress, tension, pain, fatigue, or simply a feeling that their system needs space to reset. Others are curious about reconnecting with their bodies in a deeper way.
What many people share after a session is a sense of deep relaxation, greater ease in their body, improved sleep, and a feeling of calm and clarity.”
