Red Snapper season reopens this weekend, September 4-7! Anglers have one final opportunity to fish for Red Snapper this year before the recreational season closes at 11:59 p.m. on September 7.

The daily bag limit is four fish per person, with a 16-inch minimum size limit. Make sure you have your license and ROLP from Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries before you hit the water!

CCA-Louisiana’s Sugar Chapter raises an estimated $159,000 during annual banquet - The Daily Iberian Nearly 600 outdoorsmen and outdoorswomen filled the Cade Community Center recently for the annual Coastal Conservation Association of Louisiana Sugar Chapter banquet.

CCA Louisiana's Impact Team leads 16 statewide waterway cleanups this September Volunteers are hitting the water across the state, hosting waterway cleanups from Grand Isle to Shreveport.

That’s how it’s done! Congratulations to Brandie Sauce for winning the 2026 Ride The Bull Kayak Fishing Tournament this past weekend in Grand Isle, which is the world’s largest conservation-based catch-and-release kayak fishing tournament. Well done, Brandie!

CCA Louisiana is supplying volunteer help with additional organization's (Barataria-Terrebonne National Estuary Program, Nicholls State University, & Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries to remove trash from a 2-mile stretch of the Elmer’s Island Wildlife Refuge coastline.
