As a youth workforce development program we are always preparing our students for bigger and better things. But we can’t say we weren’t spoiled by the time Derrick has spent with us. A bike mechanic like no other. Fixing things nobody thought could be saved. Being a friendly voice of reason when it couldn’t be. But it is time. Derrick has found his bigger and better opportunity and while we are sad to have such a close member of the bike shop family move on, we are so excited to see how he grows. Come by this Saturday to bid farewell to Derrick on his last shift. We will be hanging out 10-4.

This Saturday come see us for a flat repair demonstration this Saturday at 10:30. We will be at the Perkins BMX park. There will be many extra wheels that need fixing so come down and learn to do it yourself. Our founder and executive director, Dustin LaFont, will be leading the lesson. So come on down and experience what it’s like to participate in the wonderful youth programming we do everyday.
