Congratulations to Jessica Richardson! Jessica has been a member of Burn Baton Rouge since July and has never looked back! She shows up every day with the biggest smile and a positive attitude. Jessica is a true #burnsister in every way!

"I have played softball and basketball my whole life and have always thrived, in an exercise environment similar to team practices. I have wanted to try Burn for a while now ever since seeing my son’s amazing teacher, Tananasia Penny, post videos of her daily workouts. However, as a single mom, I never really had the extra time, after working all day, and I was really good at finding any other excuse to forgo working out. Then came Covid, the switch to working from home, and an advertisement for a month long membership special to Burn. I decided to take the plunge and I haven’t looked back. I have seen this mom bod change in little ways and I feel stronger every camp. I’ve even had to go up in bat weight for my softball games. What I love about Burn is that the trainers investment in members’ lives, the camaraderie among members, and the variety in our workouts. Burn can’t quit me now! "I joined Burn in January to get myself into a fitness routine since I wasn't happy with my physical appearance, and I wanted to be healthier for my kids. I heard about Burn through Facebook groups, and I decided to give it a try in January. I joined after Raise the Bar, and I haven't looked back! I've been working out 5-6 days per week since joining, and it's been so beneficial for my physical and mental health! As an added bonus in addition to losing 28 pounds these past 10 months, I feel much more confident in myself and will keep working to reach my goals!"

This Buffalo Chicken Spaghetti Squash Casserole is…⁣
🌟Dairy-free⁣
🌟High-protein⁣
🌟Low-carb⁣
🌟Spicy⁣

🌟Satisfying⁣
🌟Extremely clean⁣
🌟Super addictive!⁣

Ingredients:⁣
•1 large spaghetti squash⁣
•2 cups cooked shredded chicken breast⁣
•4 eggs⁣
•½ cup hot sauce ⁣
•½ cup full-fat coconut milk⁣
•2 tsp. garlic powder⁣
•1 tsp. salt⁣

Directions:⁣
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Slice spaghetti squash in half lengthwise and scoop out seeds. Place both halves on a cookie sheet, cut side facing up, and cook in oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Meanwhile, beat eggs in a large mixing bowl. Once beaten, add shredded chicken, hot sauce, coconut milk, garlic powder and salt. ⁣
Stir until well combined. Once spaghetti squash is fully cooked, remove from oven and scrape lengthwise with a fork. Add shredded spaghetti squash to the large mixing bowl and stir until all ingredients are well combined. Pour mixture into a 9” x 13” glass baking dish. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, until the top begins to brown.⁣

But between working full time and school full time, trying to maintain a relationship, then the hit of COVID - maintaining a healthy lifestyle seemed to fall last for me. But throughout 2020, things started to change for me for the better. I left an unhealthy relationship that held me back and entered into one that was both mentally and physically healthy, with a partner who has pushed me to keep a healthy lifestyle up no matter what. Having a healthy lifestyle being something we share, it has helped our relationship and also my personal fitness journey. With this change, I also decided to make a lifestyle change with my dieting as well and put more focus on what I’m putting into my body. My Burn Burlington family has been there to push me all along the way and has definitely been one of my main factors of success to reach where I am today. Are you ready for all the pumpkin things!?! Skip all the processed, sugar added pumpkin flavored things at the store and make your own! Here’s a healthy, protein packed, delish breakfast idea that you can whip up in no time!

🥞 Pumpkin Protein Pancakes 🥞

Ingredients:
1/2 cup oat flour
1/2 cup pumpkin puree
3 egg whites
1 scoop vanilla Afterburn
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp vanilla

Instructions:
Combine all ingredients into a mixing bowl and stir until well combined. Heat a non-stick or oiled griddle over medium heat. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using about 1/4 cup for each pancake or make one giant pancake. Brown on both sides.

We love to top ours with bananas and walnuts!

“October-December 2019 was really tough for me emotionally. I had gained a lot of weight, wasn’t exercising, and made very poor eating choices. I was miserable. I decided that I never wanted to look or feel this way again. First, I slowly changed my eating habits. I cooked all my meals and ate healthy, fresh foods and watched my portion sizes. Our Story

Burn Boot Camp is a boutique fitness concept where like-minded women come together, build confidence, and inspire one another through fitness. Camps are offered multiple times throughout the day, last 45 minutes, and are comprised of 72 different styles and 15 different formats. Workouts take place on our proprietary Floating Floor with individualized attention in a group fitness setting. Clients learn far more than just healthy eating and exercise tips at Burn Boot Camp, as the concept strays from the competition by operating on a five pillar philosophy to help clients achieve success: mindset, whole food nutrition, burst training, strength training and positive environment.
