To build true athleticism, a coach must first understand what coaching actually is.

A coach is more than someone who writes workouts.
They are a mentor. Someone you build trust with, so when the journey gets hard, you don’t turn back.

They hold you accountable.
Challenge you to believe in yourself.
Celebrate your wins and help you back up during losses.

They talk the talk, but also walk the walk.

To develop athleticism effectively, a coach must master four essential skills:

📝Teaching Movement
Developing technical mastery of foundational movement patterns — squat, lunge, push, pull, hinge, rotate, and carry — instead of simply assigning exercises.

💥Seeing Movement
Analyzing posture, positioning, and movement chains to identify inefficiencies or harmful mechanics.
If it is not seen, it cannot be fixed.

⚡️Communicating Direction
Delivering clear, actionable coaching cues that improve movement without damaging confidence.

‼️Empowering the Athlete
An athlete is only as capable as they believe they are.

Coaching is not about creating exhaustion for the sake of it.
Activity does not equal achievement.

Real coaching develops people, not just performance.
