Memorial for Stephen Morales:

The date of the memorial service is 7/11/20 at the Bay Shore Marina in front of A-Dock

At 11:30 AM we are planning a boat parade leaving from A-Dock out onto the Great South Bay. Steve’s boat “Resolute “ will be the lead boat. We will have flowers to give each boat to toss into the water when we reach the destination. Arraignments will be made to get any / all of Steve’s family members a spot on one of the boats so they can take part in this boat parade and lay a flower into the water.
We are asking / encouraging any of Steve’s friends that own a boat to please come join us with your boat. Bring your boat over to A Dock next to Nickys on the bay there are a few empty slips that can be used on a first come basis. Please be sure to be there before 11:30 am.

We are hoping Steve’s uncle Harvey who is a retired Pastor is up to joining us on one of the boats, we will ask him to say a few words and prayers over the VHF radio before we lay the flowers into the bay.

All boats in the parade should monitor channel 72 on the VHF radio.

If anybody that does not have a boat or acces to a boat would like to be part of the boat parade please let me know I will ask others on the dock to save you a spot. Please private message me .

After all the boats return to the dock and are secured (we are figuring around 12:30 ), we plan to unveil a plaque we had made for Steve that will be mounted on the bench at the end of A Dock.
We are expecting Steve’s uncle Harvey to say a few words and prayers and we will ask anyone that would like to say a few words or share a found memory of Steve to please do so.

Steve like flavored Vodka we will have a toast in his honor.

During the service we will have a table set up to place notes to Steve in a bottle ; once sealed, it will be taken out to sea and placed in the ocean.

You may want to consider bringing a lawn chair if you would like to sit, the service will be held Rain or Shine ....
