What does “control” mean in Pilates?

Control means moving with intention rather than momentum. Each movement asks you to stay connected to your body from beginning to end.

We’ll teach you how to move with intention at your own pace at Bayonne Classical Pilates 💖

Why are pilates classes kept small? 🤏🏻

Small classes allow instructors to truly see how you’re moving and offer thoughtful corrections.

Precison and personal attention are an important part of the practice.

This means you’re getting all the focus you deserve.

We take care of you at Bayonne Classical Pilates. Book a small class today 💖

Pilates doesn’t stay on the reformer.

The control, awareness, balance, and strength you build in the studio come with you everywhere. How you stand. How you walk. How you reach. How you carry yourself through the day. How it helps your mental health too.

Because Pilates isn’t just about how you move here,it’s about how you move everywhere.

Take your Pilates practice with you 💖

Did you know Pilates supports your nervous system, too? 🧠✨

Every controlled movement, intentional breath, and mindful transition helps create a sense of balance, not just physically, but mentally.

Sometimes the strongest thing you can do is slow down.

💬 How do you feel after a Pilates class? Energized, calmer, or both?
