School starts, schedules change, and suddenly training has to fit around dance, homework, other sports, travel, and everything else going on.⁣

That doesn’t mean your dancer has to fall off track.⁣

It means the plan needs to adjust.⁣

With 1:1 coaching, we help dancers figure out what matters most, where training fits best, what to prioritize during busy weeks, and how to stay consistent even when conditions aren’t perfect.⁣

Because the goal isn’t a perfect schedule.⁣

It’s a plan you can actually stick to.⁣

If you want a training plan built around YOUR dancer’s goals, dance schedule, and real life…⁣
DM us COACH and we’ll send you more info about 1:1 coaching. 💪☘️⁣

If your teacher is constantly telling you to CROSS MORE 👀 this is for you.⁣

Crossing isn’t just about remembering to pull your legs in while you dance.⁣

You also need the strength + control through your inner thighs to actually create and maintain that position, especially when you’re moving quickly or starting to fatigue.⁣

Two exercises we love for this:⁣

✨ Copenhagen Plank Kicks⁣
Helps build adductor strength and control so you can better pull the leg toward your center line.⁣

✨ Pilates Power Circle Pull-Ins⁣
Trains your inner thighs to actively squeeze and control that crossing position.⁣

These exercises won’t replace technique practice, but they can help build the physical strength behind the correction so it’s easier to actually execute in your dancing.⁣

Save this for your next strength session 💪⁣

And if you want a training plan built around YOUR dancing, goals, and biggest areas for improvement, comment COACH and we’ll send you the details on 1:1 coaching ✨⁣

School is back, schedules are packed, homework is piling up…and somehow your training is supposed to fit in there too 😅⁣

The goal isn’t to have a perfect routine.⁣
It’s to build a routine that still works when life gets BUSY.⁣

These 5 tips will help you stay more consistent with your strength + conditioning during the school year, even when your schedule feels all over the place.⁣

Because missing one workout isn’t the problem.⁣

The bigger issue is when one missed workout turns into a whole week…then two.⁣

Save this for the weeks when school + dance feel like A LOT 💪✨⁣

And if you want support building a training plan that actually fits around your dance schedule, DM us COACH and we’ll send you details about 1:1 coaching.⁣

1 exercise I wish more Irish dancers did consistently:⁣

Lateral step downs.⁣

They may look simple, but they train a lot of what dancers need when they’re actually moving.⁣

Irish dancers spend so much time on one leg, whether they’re jumping, cutting, landing, kicking, or changing direction.⁣

Lateral step downs help build:⁣

✅ Better single-leg stability⁣
✅ Stronger knee and hip alignment⁣
✅ Better landing control⁣

The goal is to build the strength and control to stay lifted, stable, and aligned when the music is on and everything is moving fast.⁣

Save this for your next lower body workout.⁣

Big Oireachtas goals? 👀 Then your training should match them.⁣

1:1 coaching is for dancers who are ready to stop guessing what they should be working on and start training with a plan built specifically for them.⁣

As a Feis Fit 1:1 athlete, your coach looks at your dancing, your strengths, your weaknesses, your schedule, and your goals to create a training plan that helps you improve where it actually matters.⁣

✨ Build the strength to make your movements look bigger and more powerful⁣

✨ Improve mobility + active flexibility for cleaner lines and stronger kicks⁣

✨ Develop the conditioning to keep your dancing sharp through the end of every round⁣

✨ Work on YOUR specific weaknesses⁣

✨ Progress your training as you get stronger so you’re continuously moving forward⁣

✨ Get coaching, feedback, and accountability so you know exactly what to focus on each week⁣

And as Oireachtas gets closer? Your training adjusts with you so you can walk into those final weeks feeling prepared, not scrambling to do more.⁣

We’re currently taking on 5 more online Feis Fit athletes who have BIG goals for Oireachtas this year. 💪✨⁣

Cleaner kick lines aren’t just about being flexible.

You need 3 things working together:

✨ Range
Can your body actually get into the position?

💪 Control
Can you actively lift your leg into that range, hold your shape, and lower it with control?

☘️ Skill
Can you coordinate all of that while dancing and repeat the same clean position again and again?

That’s why stretching can absolutely help, but it’s only one part of the picture.

A dancer might have a beautiful split on the floor and still struggle to show that same line in a kick.

The goal isn’t just to have the range.

It’s to be able to use it, control it, and repeat it in your dancing.

Conditioning circuits and true power workouts are not the same thing.⁣

A circuit can feel hard, make your legs burn, and leave you out of breath, but that does not automatically mean it is improving power.⁣

Power training is about producing force quickly.⁣

That means explosive reps, high-quality movement, and enough rest to actually move fast.⁣

When dancers do jump after jump with very little rest, they are usually training the ability to keep moving while tired, not max power.⁣

That can be useful, but it solves a different problem.⁣

Conditioning helps dancers sustain energy.⁣

Power training helps dancers create more height, snap, speed, and explosiveness.⁣

Both matter.⁣

But if the goal is power, the workout needs to be designed for power, not just fatigue.⁣

If your posture starts out ✨chef’s kiss✨ and ends up looking like you’ve been personally victimized by round 3…we need to talk 😂⁣

Posture has to survive fatigue.⁣

Your core, upper back, hips, and pelvis are all working to keep you organized while your legs are moving FAST. And the deeper you get into the dance, the harder that job becomes.⁣

That’s why we pay attention to when posture starts to change.⁣

Is it there at the beginning, then fading later? Are your shoulders creeping forward? Ribs popping? Upper body getting a little more…creative? 👀⁣

Those are clues.⁣

And they help us figure out what needs more strength, control, or endurance in your training.⁣

The goal is to make your technique more durable so it holds up when the dance gets hard.⁣

Want help training for that?⁣

✨ The most exciting dancer to become? The strongest version of YOU.⁣

It’s so easy to look around and wonder...⁣

💭 Why is she progressing faster?⁣
💭 Why does her movement look so effortless?⁣
💭 Why am I not there yet?⁣

But every minute you spend studying someone else’s journey is energy you could be pouring into your own. 🪄⁣

When comparison starts creeping in, come back to this:⁣

“What if I put that same energy into my own progress?”⁣

Dance can be a comparison game or an exciting journey of seeing how great you can possibly become!⁣

Your strengths.⁣
Your corrections.⁣
Your next tiny breakthrough.⁣

As Coach Morgan explains, the goal isn’t to become the dancer beside you. It’s to keep becoming a stronger, sharper, more powerful version of YOU. 💪✨⁣

Keep showing up. ⁣
Keep growing.⁣

You got this!⁣
