SOUTH JERSEY ACADEMY FC 2014 Our organization will provide players who are ready to advance to the next level with the means to get there.

South Jersey Academy FC is a NJ NonProfit Corporation”, 501c3, is a new organization with the purpose of building high level soccer teams that will compete throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. What are the “means”? “Means” basically breaks down to training, coaching knowledge and education, specific goal setting and competitive structure. The “Means” will be accomplished by upholding the basic prin

ciples that also helped form our clubs identity: Respect for the Game; Athletic Pride and Ethics; Growth and Development; Excellence through Effort. Our club offers the following programs to help the players succeed and address their specific training and development needs at these stages in their soccer career. Player Development - ALL AGES - Players develop at different rates as they get older. Because of this we offer private and group training to help players who need extra attention in a particular area of the game or personal skills. Please visit the player development site for a list of what is currently available. Pre-Academy – U-8 to U-10 – The primary focus is individual player development while educating the players and parents on the basics of the game. Begin to promote the idea of becoming a soccer fan by watching other teams play, watching professional games on television and in person. The players will be trained by coaches that are properly licensed for this age group based on US Youth Soccer standards. Academy – U-11 and Above – Continue to develop the individual players at an advanced technical level while educating the players on game tactics. During this program, the club will guide the teams through the process of being accepted into the appropriate tournament network. This is very important so that the teams are prepared for the next program and begin to compete at the highest possible level. Strongly encourage the players to learn more by studying the game via reading materials, watching as many games as possible on TV and in person, attending camps and working with younger players. Premier Academy – U-11 and above – Players on these teams have already demonstrated a mastery of technical skills and are ready to play at higher levels of soccer. These players will continue to refine their technical abilities while mastering tactical concepts and game intelligence. The players that aspire to play at any level beyond high school will need to focus heavily on becoming a well-rounded, self-motivated individual off-the-field while becoming a highly-skilled, unselfish player on-the-field. The club will assign mentors and encourage the players to become licensed coaches and referees to assist in exposing each player to all aspects of the game. A college showcase and recruiting program will be in place for all of the players. Summer Select - South Jersey Academy FC Summer Program is dedicated to serving the needs of the more committed and highly skilled soccer player who is looking for a temporary home. Our program is geared towards allowing players to come from various clubs; play and train together in a highly competitive environment; then go take these skills back to their home clubs. We accomplish this by providing an advanced level of instruction, thereby preparing him or her to be a proud representative of our Club at local, state and regional competitions. The Program strives to produce confident players who are interested in reaching their athletic potential within the sport of soccer. The end result is a better player both in skill and game knowledge.

After another year of on field success, player development and college recruitment, we are excited to announce the 2019/20 PDA Shore Girls Tryout dates. In the past five years PDA Shore has proven itself to be the premier home for elite level soccer players in the area. We are committed to continue improving soccer on the Jersey Shore and enabling local aspiring soccer players to achieve their goals.

PDA teams strive to play at the highest levels available for each age group. PDA Shore Girls teams participate and have been very successful in the US Youth Soccer National League, EDP National League Club Vs Club, JAGS and other competitive leagues along with some of the best tournaments in the country: Stars of Mass, Jefferson Cup, PDA Showcases, Disney Showcase and Visit Raleigh Showcase (CASL). We are proud to say that our teams have competed at the US Club Soccer and US Youth Soccer National Championships, and we are in a strong position to have teams make a return to this year’s US Youth Soccer National Championships!

In 2018/19 we were excited to have FIVE of our PDA Shore Girls teams (2005-2001) represent the club in the prestigious US Youth Soccer National league, more than any other club in the country!! Our 2003 Freedom girls have already booked their place in the 2019 competition with more teams to follow! Our 2005 Flash girls are reigning NJ Cup state champions and we have a number of other NJ State Cup finalists and Regional finalists to be proud of!
Our sole intent is to place our players, teams, and staff in the most challenging environment for continued soccer development and growth leading to potential college opportunities in the future. A full list of our 2019 college commitments can be found HERE
