NEPA 9 17/18U wrapped up a stellar 2027 campaign with a runner up finish at NYEB yesterday.
As always, they fought tooth-and-nail and were in it until the end, with the tying run at third base in a 7-6 verdict.
Though most are returning for one more summer, for some it was their last time stepping on a field with us. The majority of these young men were part of our first Futures developmental squad when it was a pilot program 9 years ago. All have been with us for many years and each has become an important part of our baseball family.
We are very proud of them; a true team in every sense of the word, one of the best squads everywhere they've played the last few seasons and most importantly high character young men who've represented us and themselves incredibly well.
Congratulations 9 on a successful year and on doing it the right way. Go 9!

Sometimes success isn't measured by the final score...
Phantoms 14U put a bow an amazing year of growth with a competitive 10-9 loss against a team that beat them 22-1 in their first game as a team just four months earlier.
The girls battled evenly throughout and had the lead with 2 outs in the last inning before losing on a walk off but the result didn't diminish just how much this squad has improved in such a short amount of time.
These girls have developed from a team that struggled to stay in games to a team that is competing evenly and winning at the travel level.
Great job, Phantoms! Can't wait to see what 2027 brings

Londyn Hernandez struck out the final batter to earn the save. Slawinski helped his cause with an RBI single and Cade Pittenger and Scott Henkel each contributed with a double and a run scored
