Beachwood Bison Swim Club

Alma placed 9th and now advances to States! Great start to Districts.

Getting ready to tear it up at Sectionals and that is what they did. Largest amount of Districts qualifiers, 20 swimmers and 1 diver. The Boys team was 2nd and Girls were 6th overall!

Boys win 200 medley relay, Derek 100 free and 50 fly, Colin 50 free, Sam Park 50 back and 200 free relay to win the Sprint Meet invite. The girls team places 5th out of 16 teams! We now prep for champs!

Last dual meet of the season. Boys beat Rocky River along with setting two pool records, Colin 200 free and Derek 100 back. Girls take down Laurel and Beaumont.

Boys win the whole conference again this year and Girls take first in the Valley Division. Many first place divisional champs as well as several conference champs with more team records falling! Accolades abound.

Beachwood Swimming says good bye to 11 great seniors! You have reshaped the expectations and set standards for our program for many years to come!

Boys take down both Kenston and West Geauga winning the majority of the events. The Girls out scored West Geauga by one point and lost a close one to Kenston.

Last night Beachwood Boys beat both Shaker and Chardon. Along the way Colin Elwell won and broke the team record in the 500 free swimming 4:55.53 and swam on both winning 200 relays. Max Rose won the 100 breast and Ethan D**g won the 200 free. The girls team had several top 3 finishes and were competitive with St Joe's and Chardon.

Beachwood has had two days of intense racing and swimming against the best of Ohio Div 1 and 2. The Big 8 invite was on Friday night and the Viking Invite Saturday at CSU. Many great swims at both meets. Boys place 7th at Canton and 4th at Viking.

Flora Fan made finals at Viking placing 2nd and 9th in the breaststroke.

Her brother Derek set 3 school records winning the 100 fly at Big 8 and leading off both of our free relays to set team records. Derek also won the 50 fly and 50 backstroke.

We had a total of 10 swimmers qualify to finals on Saturday with a lot of fast swims already!

Boys lose a nail bitter by 2 points to Gilmour tonight as the girls get beat also.

Boys also placed 2nd by 4 points on Saturday at Solon Relays.

Good early season reality check for the team that all races matter!
