Our 8th Annual Leaf Party Day is coming up next Wednesday, June 18, from 12:30–2 PM at the Beachwood Family Aquatic Center! Open to BFAC members and their guests only.

What's Leaf Party Day? Bartu, a resident who doesn’t let autism get in the way of his unique ability to connect with others through nature, began bringing leaves to the pool in 2017 to share with now retired Pool Manager Missy Bystrom. The leaves quickly became a favorite of other children at the pool who would follow Bartu around the lazy river chanting ‘Leaf Party’ as they swung their branches around their heads. Fast forward to today, the Leaf Party is an annual tradition with leaf-themed crafts, garlands, crowns, shirts and more.

BFAC ALERT: We just got word that the Abominable Snowman applied for a BFAC membership...and that pretty much sums up the change in forecast for Sunday. 🥶

Since we won't be hitting our 65° threshold tomorrow, the Beachwood Family Aquatic Center will be CLOSED on Sunday, June 1. Hang in there, our daily hours begin Wednesday, June 4, and we're certainly ready for the flip-flops!

The Snack Shack will be open with ice cream 🍦 Candy 🍭 and Chips. Hope to see you there ☀️

Weather Alert: Possible Delay in Pool Opening

Beachwood Residents, please be advised that the upcoming weekend weather may impact the opening of the Beachwood Family Aquatic Center.

We’re grateful for the hard work of our Community Services and Public Works Departments in preparing the facility, but current forecasts indicate that air temperatures may not reach our required minimum of 65°F on Saturday and Sunday. Monday’s opening is also uncertain at this time.

We will provide a definitive update through social media and the city website by noon on Friday, May 23.

Reminder: BFAC memberships are available to residents only. Please bring two forms of residency verification (driver’s license and utility bill). All transactions are cashless. We accept credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and written checks.
