With many Optimist events cancelled this year, some DDT members have taken the opportunity to sail other boats. Here's a picture from a recent High School regatta in the South Carolina Lowcountry where our DDT members (who still aren't high school age) raced Junior Varsity against the Varsity teams.
Our DDT members were 2nd, 3rd & 5th overall in the 14 boat 420 fleet!
The future is bright!

Some DDT Opti sailors have moved up into Lasers this year. Regattas are being cancelled, but that doesn't mean we can't have great clinics! - Day 2
Day 2 brought some lighter winds but the competition level stayed intense. Congrats to all of the participants and a huge thank you to Coach Potter and Coach Gamble!

Great day 1 of the clinic. Coach Hall Sailing, LLC put the team through their heavy air paces! Charleston harbor gave us 18 knots with some high 20s gusts. 2-3 ft chop or rollers depending on where he took them in the harbor. Early to bed for this team. More tomorrow!
