Dear Beaufort Community,

We are so excited to announce one of our upcoming fundraising events in support of the Beaufort Community Nutcracker—a special Mahjong Fundraiser!

The event will be taking place on Friday, October 23rd from 6-9pm at Celadon Activity Center in Beaufort. Please see attached for more information.

Thank you for always showing up for our dancers and for helping us keep the magic of the Nutcracker alive!

Many of you may remember Abbigail as a DBC dancer, and now we are so excited to have her working in our office and welcoming our dancers each day. It’s extra special to watch our dancers grow up and come back to be part of the DBC family in a new way. 💕

We are thrilled to have Lindsay Neese, one of our wonderful DBC dance moms, teaching yoga for us! 🧘‍♀️

Join me EVERY TUESDAY from 9:00–10:00 AM at Derrick Ballet Conservatory for an hour of movement, stretching, strength, balance, and positive energy! 🌿✨

We are so honored to have Nadia Mullova-Barley soloists from the Royal Ballet coming to work with our Travel Team dancers today! 🩰

Nadia’s Biography

British-Russian dancer Nadia Mullova-Barley is a First Artist of The Royal Ballet. She joined The Royal Ballet’s Aud Jebsen Young Dancers Programme from the start of the 2017/18 Season and was promoted to Artist in 2018 and First Artist in 2023.

Mullova-Barley began dancing aged seven. She trained at West London School of Dance before entering The Royal Ballet Lower School, graduating through the School. Awards include the School’s Ninette de Valois Choreographic Award in 2011. Roles while a student include in Les Patineurs, Concerto and Les Syphildes at the annual matinees.

Mullova-Barley’s professional engagements while a student include dancing with The Royal Ballet in The Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty, Anastasia and Mayerling.

With the Company, her roles include Lilac Fairy (The Sleeping Beauty), Fairy Winter (Cinderella), Spanish (The Nutcracker), Big Swan (Swan Lake), Harlot (Romeo and Juliet) and in Light of Passage and Solo Echo. She has created roles in Joseph Toonga’s Dusk, Joshua Junker’s Never Known and Pam Tanowitz’s Secret Things.

✨ 🩰We are so excited for our 2026–2027 dance season at Derrick Ballet Conservatory! 🩰✨

Whether you’re returning to DBC or joining our dance family for the very first time, we can’t wait to see our studios filled with smiling faces, hard work, and beautiful dancing.

This season is especially exciting as we celebrate our studio renovation and expansion! Thanks to the incredible support of our DBC families, we’ve created an even more beautiful, welcoming, and inspiring space for our dancers. With three studios, three dressing rooms, 2 lobbies, 2 kitchens and expanded facilities, we’re ready to provide the very best experience for every student.

Here’s to a season of growth, friendship, confidence, and unforgettable memories.

Let’s make this our best year yet!
