Let's talk about shattering norms. My gym routine is like clockwork - solitude, sweat, and serenity. A ritual designed to reclaim myself amidst the beautiful whirlwind that is motherhood.
But yesterday, a curveball. My son, eyeballing my pickleball paddle with curiosity, asked to tag along. I'd planned a day of heavy lifting and quiet contemplation, but I found myself pressing 'pause' on my routine and saying, "Let's do it πβ slightly worried Iβd regret it.
Here's the kicker: Swapping weights for a game of pickleball with my little man didn't derail my day. In fact, it gifted me an extraordinary bonding moment and a fresh perspective.
Turns out, sometimes it's not about craving a break from the kids, but about needing quality, undistracted time with them. It's less about "me vs. them" and more about us finding common ground.
So here's a shout out to those unplanned, unconventional workout sessions that remind us why we're doing all this in the first place. Because at the end of the day, it's not just about the gains, it's about the game. πͺπ₯π«Ά
Have I converted anyone else to pickle ball yet??! π€£π€£π

Have you ever felt like life was breaking you down? Like the universe was conspiring against you?
I know I have. I remember a time when I felt like everything was falling apart. My relationships, my career, my health - it seemed like nothing was going right. I felt broken.
But then, something shifted. I realized that I wasn't being broken down, I was being renovated. Just like a house that needs some repairs and updates, sometimes our lives need some renovation too. And that's not a bad thing.
During the renovation process, things may get messy and chaotic. It may be uncomfortable and even painful at times. But when it's all said and done, the end result is a stronger, more resilient, and more beautiful version of ourselves and our lives.
So if you're going through a tough time right now, remember that you're not being broken. You're being renovated. Trust the process and embrace the changes that are happening. You'll come out on the other side stronger and better than ever before.

Hey there, busy mamas! Raise your hand if you've ever found yourself saying "I'm so busy!" more times than you can count. πββοΈ But let me tell you, being busy all the time isn't necessarily a good thing. Without proper recovery, it can easily lead to overwhelm or burnout. So today, let's talk about the most common signs of overwhelm that so many of us experience.
As a busy mom myself, I know how easy it is to ignore the warning signs that we need to slow down and take care of ourselves. But trust me, it's crucial that we pay attention to these red flags! Here are the most common signs of overwhelm to watch out for:
π© Tired all the time even after a good night's sleep
π© Irritated even by small things that donβt normally bother you
π© Trouble concentrating and difficulty getting things done
π© Feelings of anxiety or depression
π© Physical symptoms such as headaches, stomachaches, or even chest pain
π© Difficulty sleeping
π© Forgetfulness
π© Other common signs: buying crap from Target or Amazon you donβt need, mindlessly wasting hours scrolling social media, picking unnecessary fights with your spouse, zoning out constantly
If any of these sound familiar, it's time to take action! Here are some tips to manage overwhelm:
π Prioritize self-care: Take care of yourself by eating well, getting enough sleep, and exercising regularly.
π Practice gratitude: Focus on the positive and find things to be thankful for.
π Take breaks: Give yourself permission to take breaks throughout the day, even if it's just a few minutes to stretch or take a deep breath.
π Set boundaries: Learn to say no when you need to and don't feel guilty about it. Prioritize your own needs and mental health.
π Ask for help: Don't be afraid to reach out to friends, family, or professionals for support when you need it.
π Stay off of screens as much as possible.
π Get outside as often as possible and touch your bare feet to the earth.
Remember, mama, it's okay to slow down and take care of yourself. By paying attention to the signs of overwhelm and taking care of yourself, you can manage stress and enjoy motherhood to the fullest. You got this! πͺ

Raise your hand if you've ever felt overwhelmed by the state of your house! πββοΈ
This week, I was hit with a double whammy of sickness and hormones, and my house was a disaster.
But instead of trying to tackle it all at once, I did a little bit each day to prevent it from becoming too much.
I focused on progress, not perfection. π
And by the end of the week, I was feeling better and able to tackle the rest! ππ (except for this mirror obvi π€¦ββοΈπ
π)
It's amazing how small, consistent actions can add up to big results though. And how letting go of perfectionism and people-pleasing can FEEL like youβre not getting much done in the short-term, but you end up getting a LOT more done in the long term. π₯π₯π₯
Remember - Success is all about progress, not perfection! Set small goals for yourself each day, and celebrate every accomplishment. You've got this! πͺπΌ
