🌟 September Member of the Month: Ashley Rabehl! 🌟

πŸ’¬ Ashley’s Y Story

β€œMy experience at the Y started way back before the new building was built. They used to have a New Years swim in the downtown building that we looked forward to every year!

When they built the new building, I wanted to continue those memories with my children, so we joined the Y shortly after it opened. My son used to use the little slide until he was too tired and couldn’t climb the steps anymore.

Later I became an employee, first in maintenance, and then as a morning lifeguard. I hated the early mornings, but loved watching the morning exercise classes. I’ve always been a water lover and I found my love of swimming while working there. The swim instructors and my fellow lifeguards were so quick to help me learn proper form.

I love the Y because it has provided a safe place to work, and also a clean and safe place to bring my family. The members and staff are fabulous, and the overall feel is positive.

Anyone who is on the fence about becoming a member should give it a try. There’s a lot of different programs for all ages and abilities, and the vibe just can’t be beat. It’s easy to set up and cancel a membership, so you have nothing to lose.”
-Ashley Rabehl

Congratulations, Ashley! πŸŽ‰ We love hearing how the Y has been a place where you’ve made lasting memories, discovered your love of swimming, and found a welcoming and positive community for both work and family.

We’re so glad you’re part of the Y Family! πŸ’™
