Third Heaven Martial Arts

Back in 1997, Third Heaven Martial Arts hosted Wisconsin’s first MMA event. At the time, Mixed Martial Arts was virtually unknown, largely unregulated, and considered by many to be too extreme to ever become mainstream. Today, MMA is one of the fastest-growing sports in the world, filling arenas and producing some of the biggest names in combat sports.
It's amazing to look back and realize we were part of that history from the very beginning. Sometimes today's biggest movements start with a small group of people willing to believe in something before everyone else does.

Had an amazing time teaching a Japanese Sword Seminar at Journey Martial Arts- Waukesha.
It was a privilege to work with such a great group of martial artists and share some of the principles, techniques, and traditions of Japanese swordsmanship. Thank you to everyone who attended and to the Journey Martial Arts team for their hospitality.

Shout out to Eugene Crisler El for receiving his long over due 2nd degree black belt!

Marine Sgt Kirk Allen Straseskie, 23, of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, assigned to 1st Battalion, 4th Marines, drowned in 2003 while attempting to rescue crewmembers of a Marine CH-46 Sea Knight helicopter that went down in the Shatt al Hillah Canal in Iraq.
