BVRPC successfully organized and hosted a Project Appleseed 25 Meter Rifle event last weekend. Participants received training in firearm safety and marksmanship, learning various positions such as standing, seated, kneeling, and prone, while delving into captivating Revolutionary War history. Several shooters were awarded Rifleman and Redcoat patches, with others participating in a competitive skill challenge known as Parker's Revenge.

Another successful NRA Women on Target Instructional Pistol Clinic was held at BVRPC on Saturday. The women conquered their fears and increased their confidence and competence with each progressive activity. Students began indoors by manipulating fi****ms while using dummy ammo. Next, students used training pistols to practice shooting in both the bench rest and standing isocelese positions, and finally went outdoors to shoot live ammo on the range, executing all safety and fundamentals they learned in class. The Women also got a taste of shooting the Steel Challenge stage called "Smoke and Hope" which brought out everyone's competitive side! Afterwards, the participants learned how to draw from a holster and put a laser on center mass using training pistols.
A huge shout out goes to our instructors, RSO's and helpers who donate their time and talents to make this, and many other events, a memorable experience for our students!

Our bi-weekly pistol training sessions at BVRPC continue to draw students back for more practice. At our last session five participants focused on maintaining a solid sight-picture while targeting different points on the paper with each round. Check out the tight groupings, and most importantly, the smiles!

Many of our pistol class students frequently ask about gun cleaning methods, so we had a gun cleaning party to teach them. We started the evening with pizza and ended with many clean, shiny pistols! Thank you to our team of teachers!
