9am clinics cancelled this morning. You know it’s summer when the courts look like this every Saturday morning 🌧️ ☔️. Still planning to have 10-1pm.

Sunny and 70 is the perfect morning for 🎾. We had 46 kids this morning. A special thanks to Brady's Run Ice Arena - Beaver County Recreation Dept. and the staff for helping to coordinate renting the courts for this summer’s BVTA program. We have a 30+ year history with Brady's Run Ice Arena - Beaver County Recreation Dept. All our instructors and the kids appreciate it! Clinics have been full, but we have a waiting list and will try to add sessions soon.

We have room for a couple new 6 and 7 year olds for our group clinics this Saturday 9am at Bradys Run. New racquets are provided. Clinics are pay-as-you go each week. Txt Coach Duane at 412.607.3544 to register.

Ask any kid that we teach in the BVTA and the fist thing we teach after a match is to shake hands the same whether you win or lose…this was in last night Australian Open.

Help kids get an appreciation of the sport that they are playing! The Australian Open, 1 of the 4 majors, is on for the next two weeks. Let them learn about professional players, athleticism, and so much more to develop a passion for their sport. I ask kids ages 5-18…and most say they never watched a full professional match. Now is a great time for them to learn.

The deal in clinics is they only earn it if they serve a ball into the hopper and it stays in the hopper. I had to defer to Barry Borza on the next court…and he ruled against me! Good job Alyssa!

Holiday Tournament 🎾🎾🎾 3 hours tonight at Brady's Run Ice Arena - Beaver County Recreation Dept. Tons of matches played with a final between Gia, who took second place 🏆 and Veronica, who won first 🏆. I’ve watched both of these girls grow up on the courts along with many of the others. Great competition all night from all the players. One of the things I enjoy most is their friendships amongst each other while attending 5 different local schools. Special thanks to Coach Lily for coordinating everything for these girls to play tonight. She puts in a lot of time and energy.

Middle School Match Play. They are working hard to get ready for tournament play and high school (let’s not rush it). We have some terrific kids at the BVTA!
