Congrats to all winners and competitors in the First Annual Miami Valley Hospital Wellness Pickleball Tournament, held last weekend at Kennedy Park.

There is still time to sign up for the pickleball tournament at Kennedy Park in Kettering on Saturday, Sept. 9.

They are looking for more teams. The deadline for registering is Sept. 3.

Joe Lair is holding a Pickleball tournament on July 29th at the Activity Center in Centerville to support the American Cancer Society.

There will be women's doubles, men's doubles and mixed doubles, each with two skill divisions (beginner and advanced). This way people who are new to the sport can still come and participate along with people who are skilled!

The grand opening of the JFK pickleball courts will take place next Sunday, June 25 from 1 to 3. Here is the schedule of events:

1 – 1:20 p.m. Welcome & presentations. Talks will include speakers from the city, the 2 major donors and a Pickle Pals rep

1:20 – 1:25 p.m. Ribbon Cutting

1:30 – 2 p.m. Local celebrity games (many newbies)

2 – 3 p.m. Learn to Play will be on 3 courts, each with an instructor. The other courts will be open for play.
