Happy MDW! Please remember:
1. Maximum speed on the bicycle trail is 20 mph.
2. You must be at least 16 years old to operate a Class 3 e-bike (28 mph max).
3. If it goes over 28 mph, it’s not an e-bike - it’s a motorcycle.
These are not opinions. It’s the law in the State of Ohio.

“California law divides e-bikes into three classes. Class 1 and Class 2 e-bikes are limited to speeds of 20 mph, while Class 3 e-bikes can reach up to 28 mph and require riders to be at least 16 years old and wear a helmet. Higher-powered electric dirt bikes and similar vehicles are considered e-motorcycles and require a license and registration to operate.
Under state law, parents can be cited and fined for their minor child's e-bike violations, including riding without required safety equipment or operating an unlawful vehicle.”
