Polynesian dance is a responsibility to maintain the culture, history, and stories of its people. We are not a production company. Please come and join us.

We are family friendly, village mindset, and a safe space for all. The large and diverse Oregon state is the only west coast state without a traditional pupu ori (Tahitian dance group). Teva Oriata is a dance school created from Angie Jackman's dream to share her passion of the Tahitian culture and beauty to the pacific northwest. With the sounds of the pahu drums and toere, the students will lear

Teva Oriata proudly presents Te Moana Nui A Hiva, an immersive showcase celebrating the vastness, beauty, and spirit of the ocean.

Dive into a world where the deep blue is alive with stories— Polynesian legends of gods and guardians, the wondrous creatures that dwell beneath the waves, and the timeless relationship between our people and Te Moana, the sea that sustains us.

Through powerful choreography, music, and storytelling rooted in culture, Te Moana Nui A Hiva carries audiences across the shoreline and into the sacred depths. Each piece reflects the ocean’s many faces—its creation, its mysteries, its strength, and its role as a giver of life.

But this journey is not only a celebration; it is a call to action. As the ocean faces unprecedented threats, we honor our ancestral responsibility to protect and preserve it. This showcase serves as a reminder that the choices we make today will shape the world inherited by generations to come.

Join us as we honor the stories of our ancestors, the life within the water, and the enduring bond between Polynesia and the great ocean that surrounds us. May we continue to listen, to learn, and to care for the ocean that has always cared for us.

8 years at our Cedar Hills studio location😮‍💨🥹. This place was hard for Kai to say goodbye to, because it was all he’s ever known as his “home”. Our family has moved 4, maybe 5 times, but this place stayed constant throughout his childhood. As our boys have grown, so has our Teva Oriata feti’i, and we have definitely outgrown these dance floors. Although it will be sad to see this place demolished (new development everywhere nowadays), I’m soo excited to be in our new and bigger fare ‘orira’a!

I turned in the keys today, so if you have any pictures of you dancing at this location, please share a story and tag us! Rest in love Cedar Hills Shopping Center.

My mom who is 100% Ryukyuan (indigenous people of Okinawa) was 2nd generation born and raised in Hawaii. From my dad’s side I get my Native American (Havasupai/Apache), who like my mom I was also born and raised in Hawaii. As indigenous people we carry many of the same trauma, purpose, and pride. We are all cousins and allies in the continued effort to perpetuate our cultures.

Results are in😳🤩🥳!

🥰🙌🏼🙏🏼I am beyond grateful for our loving and supportive community(Beaverton and beyond) for voting us in the top 2025! We also ranked in many categories in 2024, but I didn’t have a chance to post/acknowledge/thank. 😔

Glory to god first, He definitely has a plan for Jack and I😅 and we’ll roll with what’s coming next for our ‘ohana! Secondly, we honestly wouldn’t be where we are today without all of our wonderful dancers and families that show nothing but aloha for Teva Oriata. Mahalo nui loa to our community for voting us #1 in so many categories!

💍PLATINUM baby💍
