THPRD Aquatics THPRD Aquatics' mission is to promote lifelong safety, fun, fitness, and friendship in aquatics. Located at the Howard M.

Terpenning Recreation Complex, the Tualatin Hills Aquatic Center features a 50-meter pool that provides recreational and instructional programs for all ages. It is also venue used many times a year for team competitions in swimming, diving, water polo and Synchronized swimming. Our diverse array of programs include all levels of swim lessons, water aerobics, open swim, lap swim, as well as specialty drop in programs such as open scuba and kayak. We also house five competitive clubs including swim team, dive team, masters swimming, water polo and synchronized swimming. Due to multi use programming at this facility, programs generally run in the 25 yard direction. For times of 50 meter availability, and for schedule changes due to competitions or special events, please call the pool at 503-629-6310. The Aquatic Center has many fun features one can enjoy during open swim such as a rope swing, dive platforms, and a large inflatable climbing toy known as the “Jungle Joe!"

Popular activities at the Tualatin Hills Aquatic Center are the various competitive swim teams, our super fun kid’s splash team for ages 5-17yrs, and our swim lessons taught by highly trained, professional staff. Want to try it? Currently THPRD Conestoga Recreation and Aquatic Center and Sunset Swim Center are offering youth water polo programs.

Water Polo Basics (Conestoga) and Fall Score (Sunset) both work on swimming, treading water, ball handling, passing, and shooting technique. Students will learn basic game principles, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Weather can get a bit crazy in the summer ~ and that can affect our pools! The best thing to do to stay informed is joining the THPRD text alert system, but here are some important things to know about THPRD's inclement weather policies:

- All outdoor pools will temporarily close in the event of lightning.
- All outdoor pools may close in the event of heavy rainfall obscuring visibility through the pool water.
- Moderate to high AQI readings will result in closure of outdoor pools and can affect indoor programming.

All of our splash pads offer a great place to cool off. We have 4 splash pads located around the District. Drop in fees apply at the THPRD Conestoga Recreation and Aquatic Center location, but the others are free.
