Studies show that parents are more stressed than ever. (It’s why I started Supported Start, actually.) What can we do about it? I wrote a blog post with my thoughts.

Here’s a way to help your baby learn how to get back down once they’ve pulled themselves into standing.

Let’s share some ideas! Drop your go-to baby/toddler reads below in case there are any gems out there we don’t know about. 😊

(I read the ones here to my kids 20+ years ago! That said, I know many of my therapy/coaching families still enjoy the same titles! ❤️)

Torticollis is a common diagnosis and one way you can help prevent it is with this simple strategy.

(As per the video, please talk to your pediatrician and get a physical therapy evaluation if your baby demonstrates a preference to look in one direction and/or consistently positions with their head in a tilted position.)

Yes, there actually is a National Mojito Day! My favorite recipe is below. For a non-alcoholic version (a go-to for me much of the time), just omit the rum and you’ve got a super simple, refreshing mocktail. Note you can also make this with simple syrup instead of sugar, but I read that the OG mojitos were made with sugar to get a tiny bit of that graininess (which I actually love), so this is more authentic.

Ingredients:
10 fresh mint leaves
½ medium lime, cut into 4 wedges
2 Tbs white sugar
1 cup-ish ice cubes
1-2 shots white rum
Club soda to fill the glass

Instructions:
Muddle the mint and two of the lime wedges in the bottom of a glass.
Add the other lime wedges and sugar and re-muddle.
Fill the glass with ice.
Pour the rum over the ice.
Fill the glass with club soda.
Stir well so the sugary syrup disperses.
Enjoy!

Happy National Mojito Day! 💚

xo,
Katie
