💥 Strong hamstrings aren't just for sprinters. They're one of the biggest keys to speed, power, and staying injury-free.

Your hamstrings help you:
✅ Accelerate faster
✅ Jump higher
✅ Change direction explosively
✅ Protect your knees and lower back
✅ Reduce the risk of strains and ACL injuries

Weak hamstrings are like trying to launch a rocket with one engine.

Train them with the same intensity you train quads and you'll move better, perform better, and stay in the game longer.

If you want real results you need a real plan and program with the discipline to show up every day and follow it through.

Last August a failed attempt at 100kg front squat, never had a chance

Less than a year later an RPE 9 single at 135kg front squat

A 40+kg increase

Stop spinning your wheels and work with a quality coach!

Power isn't just about how much force you can produce. It's about how quickly you can produce it. ⚡️

Training for power output improves explosiveness, speed, and athletic performance, helping you move faster and react quicker when it matters most.

Strength is the engine. Power is how fast you can use it.

Train both. 💪

No matter what sport you play or gym discipline you follow if you aren't consistent you aren't going to be very successful.

Successful lifters and athletes are consistent. With their routines, positions, programs. And you can see the results.

Constantly starting over. Making up workouts as you go. Having different techniques every time you train. Many other scenarios scream inconsistent. And you can see the lack of results.

Get a plan. Be disciplined. Stay consistent.

Last week I had the pleasure of traveling to ultra nationals to coach one of my strong ass clients!

puts on a great national level meet, we had a great time!

Lhean went 8/9 on the day and PR'd all her lifts (almost) and got a class 1 qualifying total which was our goal. She needed a 305kg total and we managed a 312.5kg total!

Squat went great and as follows:
102.5/225lbs ⚪⚪⚪
110kg/242lbs ⚪⚪⚪ (PR)
115kg/253lbs ⚪⚪⚪ (PR)

Bench went great as well minus a miss groove on the third:

52.5kg/115lbs ⚪⚪⚪
55kg/121lbs ⚪⚪⚪
60kg/132lbs 🔴🔴🔴 (would've been a PR)

Deadlifts went amazing as well:

130kg/286lbs ⚪⚪⚪
137.5kg/302.5lbs ⚪⚪⚪ (meet PR)
142.5kg/314.5lbs ⚪⚪⚪ (PR)

312.5kg/687.5lb total at 66.5kg/146.5lb BW

Also shout-out to Bryan for getting these screen capture videos for us so we don't have to wait weeks and weeks to get them back from the media teams!

Most sports are played on the balls of your feet.

-Changing direction in a 3 cone drill
-Sprints
-Taking that single leg takedown
-Pivoting to chase a wide forehand
-Backpedaling to keep track of the WR
-Repeated Jumps to get rebounds

Making sure your feet and ankles and the tendons in those areas are ready for the abuse get them trained.

Increase your performance and prevent injury in the process

Acceleration and deceleration outside of your base is a vital skill in dynamic movement especially change of direction.

Making things fun can help with retention especially in younger athletes, if they have fun they'll be more willing to continue to do the movements long term and they'll do it on their own.

Some things need a rigid structure and form and some things don't.

Get out and play with movement a little bit

DM me if you're ready to invest in your athletic performance

Yesterday was meet day for a couple of my clients!

Today I'll cover Lhean and her day, I only have video of squats and deadlifts for each person the bench videos are terrible angles.

The whole day went well and we crushed the target total we were aiming for.

Squats:

100kg/220lbs for a 12.5kg PR
107.5kg/236.5lbs for a 20kg PR
115kg/253lbs failed lift

Bench:

50kg/110lbs for a 2.5kg PR
55kg/121lbs for a 7.5kg PR
Scratched the third

Deadlifts:

110kg/242lbs for a 7.5kg PR
120kg/264lbs for a 17.5kg PR
130kg/286lbs for a 27.5kg PR

For a 292.5kg total and a 305 DOTS score with is 47.5kg increase in her total and 15 DOTS points.

Our goal was 270kg which is a class 2 number to qualify for nationals and Lhean crushed that so now we're going to nationals to try qualifying for Worlds! Target total is 305kg so we're well within striking distance
