ScubaLab put 12 new regulators through head-to-head testing this year, both on a breathing simulator and in the water, to see how they performed under real dive conditions.

For 2026, the field was split into models under and over $700. The Genesis Argo earned Testers Choice under $700, while the XS Scuba Quest took Best Buy honors. In the higher-priced category, the Nex N1 Stealth was named Testers Choice and the Bonassi AB110/Revox earned Best Buy.

Testers evaluated everything from work of breathing and dryness to comfort, purge performance and resistance to free-flow.
