Know Before You Go: Gus Macker This Saturday!
GAME ON! We're just days away from the Gus Macker 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament benefiting cancer research at the IU Melvin and Bren Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center sponsored by Republic Airways.
Whether you're a Macker veteran or stepping onto the court for the first time, we're excited to have you join us. Here's everything you need to know.

Parking is FREE! Please use the main parking lot. If it's full, additional parking is available next door at Wright's Gym or Grand Park Lot G.
🏀 EARLY REGISTRATION
Skip the Saturday morning lines! Players are encouraged to check in Friday from 4–7 p.m.
Each player on the team roster must complete on-site check-in—you cannot have a team captain check in for you. Adults must bring a government-issued photo ID that clearly shows their date of birth. Youth players must bring a passport, birth certificate, or school ID.
While you're there:
Warm up at the Free Throw Contest sponsored by Sport Court of Indiana.
Get the first look at Threads by Gus, featuring official Macker merchandise.
🏀 WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE?
Opening ceremonies begin Saturday at approximately 8:00 a.m., with games tipping off at 8:30 a.m.
Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before your team's first scheduled game. Allow additional time for parking, registration and finding your court.
đź“‹ REGISTRATION & BRACKETS
Upon arrival, complete your waiver and verify your height with one of our crimson-shirt volunteers. Registration is organized by bracket letter, not last name.
Review your bracket to confirm your first game time and court assignment. Brackets will be posted at the Bracket Wall sponsored by CBRE, located under the mezzanine to the left of the concession stand.
🍕 FOOD & DRINK
Outside food and beverages are not permitted inside Pacers Athletic Center. Food and drinks are available for purchase at the concession stand, including hot foods, grab-and-go snacks, kid-friendly options and espresso drinks. The concession stand is cashless, and there is no ATM on site.

Slam Dunk Contest: Join us at noon on Saturday for the Slam Dunk Contest on Men’s Top Court. Cash prizes thanks to Steffey Wahl, LLC.
Sport Court Free Throw Contest: Think you've got the shot? It's just $5 for 10 shots! We'll have separate youth and adult divisions, with finals scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday.
Support Cancer Research: Every player is part of something bigger. We're raising funds to advance cancer research at IU and help create better treatments and more time with the people we love. Everyone can make a difference. Visit our crowdfunding page to make an online gift or donate on-site.
A FEW FINAL REMINDERS
Wear your coordinate team uniform and appropriate basketball shoes. All registered players will receive an official tournament t-shirt.
Review the Gus Macker rules and team responsibilities before arriving.
