A HUGE thank you to everyone who donated to our August Giveback! Because of your generosity, we were able to collect school supplies and uniforms for both Longfellow Elementary and Woodview Elementary! 🥹📚

From backpacks and notebooks to school essentials and uniforms, every single donation will help a student start the school year feeling prepared, confident, and ready to learn. ✏️✨

If your little one just started swim lessons and isn’t exactly loving the experience yet, don’t worry—you’re not alone! For beginner swimmers, a new pool, new instructor, and unfamiliar skills can feel like a lot at first.

It’s completely normal for it to take some time for your swimmer to feel comfortable and confident in the water. With patience, consistency, and plenty of encouragement, those nervous moments can turn into big smiles and even bigger accomplishments!

Remember, slow and steady wins the race! Every lesson is one step closer to becoming a more confident swimmer. 🐺💦

Just a friendly reminder that Wolfies Swim School will be closed on Monday, September 7th, for Labor Day.

All Monday families will receive a Makeup Token for their missed lesson. No need to worry—we’ll be back in the pool and ready to swim on Tuesday, September 8th!

🏊‍♀️ Swim lessons can be one of several important layers of water safety for your child!

Here in Houston, pools, splash pads, lakes, and water activities are a big part of family life. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends swim lessons as one layer of protection against drowning, with many children able to begin lessons around age 1 depending on their readiness.

But remember: even strong swimmers need supervision! 👀 Swim lessons don’t make a child “drown-proof.” Constant, attentive supervision and barriers that prevent unsupervised access to pools are still essential.

💙 The goal isn’t just to teach kids how to swim—it’s to help them build water confidence, learn essential skills, and become safer around the water.
