🌹 Congratulations to Peggy Martin on this well-deserved honor! 🌹
The Louisiana Legislature has officially named the Peggy Martin Rose the Official State Rose of Louisiana. What began as a rose growing in Plaquemines Parish has become a national symbol of resilience, perseverance, and hope.
Special thanks to State Senator Patrick Connick and State Representative Jacob Braud for their leadership in securing this meaningful designation. We also extend our gratitude to Plaquemines Parish Tourism for its support and dedication in helping make this recognition a reality.
Congratulations again, Mrs. Peggy Martin! Your rose's incredible story continues to inspire people across Louisiana and beyond.

Today, Foster Creppel was honored during the Plaquemines Parish Council meeting with an official proclamation recognizing his dedicated service to the Plaquemines Parish Tourism Commission. 🏆🎉

He was also presented with the Louisiana’s Delta Country Legacy Award by the Plaquemines Parish Tourism Commission and the Plaquemines Parish Council. 🌾🦅

On motion of Council Member Mark Cognevich, seconded by all Council Members, and on roll call all members present and voting Ayes, the following proclamation was unanimously adopted: “A PROCLAMATION OF APPRECIATION HONORING FOSTER CREPPEL FOR HIS DEDICATED SERVICE TO THE PLAQUEMINES PARISH TOURISM COMMISSION.”

The proclamation recognized Foster’s faithful twelve years of service to the Plaquemines Parish Tourism Commission, including his distinguished leadership as President of the Commission. On behalf of the Plaquemines Parish Tourism Commission, we want to express our sincere gratitude to Foster Creppel for twelve years of dedicated service and leadership.

Foster’s passion for Plaquemines Parish — its people, culture, seafood, wildlife, and heritage — has helped strengthen and promote Louisiana’s Delta Country in meaningful and lasting ways. His commitment and vision have left a tremendous impact on our community and tourism industry. We thank him for his service and congratulate him on receiving the Louisiana’s Delta Country Legacy Award.
