Mitch Shipman and Myself fished the 2nd stop of the LEWT and landed in 11th place with 37.5 lbs. The amount of fish in Lake Erie is incredible! We prefished Thu and Fri and caught fish from Avon to the Islands in 10 to 45 fow. For tournament day we decided to fish an area that our team mate Dustin Clark had found structure trolling 20fow with Off Shore Tackle boards. The program was bandits 85-100 back with black and white baits working best. Mitch had his hands full to control the boat after wind picked up out of north east but we caught somewhere around 30 fish for tournament day. Next tournament is in June. Thanks for following along!

We got the year off to a decent start in the LEWT with a top 10 finish. Mitch Shipman and myself were able to scratch out 32.79 lbs casting ¾ oz hair jigs and ¾ oz jig and plastic in pink and purple combinations. Most of our fish were 20-30 ft down over 32-35 fow. We practiced for 2 days running around the lake and finally settled on northwest of Kelly's Island being where our better fish came. Jason Fischer did a great job running the tournament as always and am looking forward to the next one in April!! I apologize for not posting for a little while as I was getting some personal things straightened out. Hope everyone follows along this year and I will do better at posting fishing info and tournament results.

The final qualifying event for the National Walleye Tour is finished and I came out in 16th place for the tournament and moved into 10th place in AOY heading to the championship! I had a great week of prefishing with Kent, Justin, Shelby and Carson! The Missouri River lakes are among my favorite places to fish in the country. Between the scenery, the amazing fishing and some of the nicest people you will ever meet it always makes me feel like it's my home away from home. Gotta give a shout out to my sponsors because without great equipment I could not do this

Tha first day of National Walleye Tour went better than my practice. With tournament rules being only 1 fish over 20 inches, 4 fish limit and no cull it makes for some challenges. I weighed 11lb 9 oz and sitting in 28th just out of check range. Changing weather with make for another day of challenging conditions today.

Stop 2 of the National Walleye Tour in Redwing MN starts in less than an hr. It has been a long week that included tornado sirens and fluctuations in water levels but it's about time to go to work. Wish me luck!

The first stop of the National Walleye Tour at Lake Erie is in the books. I was in 22nd place after day 1 and was in 22nd place after day 2 winning enough gas money to head to the next one! The fishing conditions were definitely challenging with fish and muddy water constantly changing. At 3 pm on day one with only 12 lbs in the livewell I finally found what I was looking for and boated 27 lbs of fish in 30 min for my day 1 weight. On day two I returned to same area and fished in 4-6 ft waves all day to scratch out 25lbs. After the way day 1 started I am extremely happy to scratch put a paycheck! The best part is my mom, daughter and granddaughter were all waiting to see me weigh in on day 2😊 Thank you everyone for following along! Next stop is Mississippi River in a couple weeks.
