“I took my wife and kids up Monday afternoon and we were starting to fish the smallmouth pond. Chris rolled by and said there were a couple on beds on the south east side so I took my son over there and swapped a few baits and caught a 3.5lb large mouth off of the bed with a swim bait. My kids loved it! Please tell Chris thanks. I love taking my kids there - they absolutely love it and are making such great memories!”

Meet Shane. He is a double leg amputee from a 2006 roadside attack in Baghdad where he served in the United States Army.

Shane visited Briarwood with one of our members, Pat, who volunteers with Project Healing Waters. Their slogan “Proven healing. Powerful outcomes.” We are so blessed to have hosted Shane and numerous other veterans through our local PHW chapter.
